“Revolving in a Dance…”

 WITH Sara Cristofori

Revolving my skirt

in a camping dance

smiling at the sun over my face

your hands r’ holding me

in a warm steady touch.

My flesh vibrates

in a odaliscan way

between bells n’ pendants

looking across your veil

promising what you know.

Stiff n’ pride

at the sound of hills n’ nacarats

escaping and be recaptured

into a guitar choir

I let you have my rose.

Ruota la mia sottana
in danza di campagna
sorrido al sole in faccia
le mani tue mi stringono
salde di tepore.

Vibrano le carni
in mosse da odalisca
tra campanelli e ciondoli
guardandoti oltre il velo
prometto quel che sai.

Altera ed orgogliosa
al suon di tacchi e nacchere
ti sfuggo e mi riprendi
nel coro di chitarre
ti cedo la mia rosa.
